I got this product for Christmas and I love it! I am thrilled to have a waffle maker that makes thin, crispy on the outside, but fluffy on the inside waffles like my mom used to make. The waffles also freeze really well and can be made ahead of time and then popped in the toaster to be warmed up. We have tried this many times and they turn out pretty good. We have not had any issues with the waffles sticking or the plates falling out. We are very happy with this product!

My wife and I were introduced to the double waffle makers when we were out of town, visiting some family. My wife happens to love waffles and the fact that we could do two at once was a winning sales point for us. Our old waffle maker would do two squares and take forever so one of us could eat a hot, fresh waffle and the other had to wait while another one cooked. The Black & Decker waffle maker was less expensive than the brand that we were introduced to but was more in our price range so we decided to give it a try. In short, we love it. Now we can do two waffles at the same time. This waffle maker cooks quickly and evenly. We can each start eating our first waffle and the next batch is done before we finish the first waffles we cooked. It does not have a light to tell you when the waffles are cooked, but the instructions say to go until there is no longer steam rising from the sides of the waffle plates. We have done it this way every time and have yet to burn a waffle. Give it a try, you won't be disappointed!

I haven’t used it , but I’m about to. What I discovered and thought was cool, was you can cook 2 waffles at once. It has waffle plates ( inside the iron) on the bottom and top. So cool. In the booklet it teaches you how to use it, what to do if there’s difficulties, and recipes such as almond waffles, french toast waffles-yum , and bacon Orange Waffles. Adjusting to it, it does steem at first. Have to watch the time or your waffle will burn. Makes tasty Waffles. Easy to use. Cleaning might be a bit difficult since u can’t take the plates out. Other than that. Shouldn’t be difficult to clean if use ( non- sticking Spray), When pouring batter, cover it entirely, or your waffle will come out like the picture. Lol, but it’s great, I love it , thank you <3.

Seems to be pretty good. I had a Walmart single waffle maker before and it didn't do that well. I decided to spend a bit more and get a double waffle maker i saw recommended on a cooking website going over waffles. So, i tried this one and it works great, the temperature is set just right for waffles. Non stick works better than most non stick items i have used. And with a double maker you get more waffles out faster so the family can eat together. Now, I'm interested in sharing my waffle knowledge and findings for fluffy and/or crispy waffles. If you like crisp waffles I found subbing out some of the flour for cornstarch gives the outside a nice crunch. (I know "cornstarch?" thought the same thing) For a recipe that calls for 2 cups flour i sub about 1/4 - 1/2 cup. Next, (and can be combined with previous) if you like a rather fluffy internal waffle then you need one that uses egg. Combine all ingredients as normal but leave the egg white out, only combining egg yolk. After mixed, whip egg white to stiff peaks and gently fold into waffle mix.

So I've had this for over a year and it's well loved and well used. I tend to use the waffle side more than the griddle plates because it's what I bought it for. Cooks evenly, no hot spots (which is surprising) obviously protect your hands and don't touch anything metal while this is on or has been recently on. It's the old fashioned kind, it's not encased in plastic, it's metal. Don't forget this or you're gonna burn yourself and blame the machine which is unfair to the machine. I've used the griddle open faced I've pressed sandwiched in it like a panini press but my favorite and predominant use is the waffle iron. I'm a kitchen gizmo person. I know I can do most things without them but why when there's a gizmo and gadget for it? More specifically though I bought this because I wanted something other than Belgian waffles and I remembered that my grandmother had a waffle iron that looked dead on this though I cannot remember if her plates were removable. Any who, my grandmother passed away a few years back and I polled my sisters trying to see if anyone remembered the brand, no one was positive but my oldest sister told me she thought it was a black and decker so I took to the Amazon. Found this beauty and immediately bought it. Second it got delivered I had it out cleaned and ready to go ( those delivery notifications are awesome. Once I knew it was out for delivery I timed it with my normal carrier's route and had the batter ingredients out and ready to roll) I would caution you to be careful about the grease you use and to have something to collect it should it get too warm and slide off the plates. I use bacon grease coz that's how I was taught and it's wonderful but obviously thin and will leak out the corner if you use the correct amount to grease the iron. I've just put it on a part of the counter I can clean super easy between batches and be done with it. Both of my sisters covet this bad boy but they're on their own. I live a few thousand miles away now so they just have to get their own. Last weekend they asked about it and it's what got me thinking its time to review this bad boy. Actually if I remember correctly I paid a bit more for it that what its pricing for now but honestly I'd do it all over again and for more. Good wafflemakers especially not Belgian waffle makers are hard to come by. Don't get me wrong I ALSO have a Belgian wafflemaker but this, this is what trotted out on my counter every couple of weekends.

Cooks well and cleanly. However, be mindful that you need to allow just a little bit of time between taking out the fresh cooked waffle and putting in new batter to cook. If you start the process too quickly, you can get an undone center and the outsides will be done as intended. Also I found that when it cools down I can wrap the cord around the bottom half and put the cord in that small groove and lock it in with the plug in on the other side. I use a large pan under it to catch any overage-spill from baking. I have put too much batter in and had it ooze out the sides and drip onto that pan. It breaks right off from the waffle iron when done, and I can easily clean up the drip on the pan underneath. Use aluminum foil and merely dispose of the foil when done. I used NO spray, but relied on the oil I have in my waffle recipe (home style recipe). I wish there were a cross-element of coiled heating wire to get the centers of the grill more even, rather than the solid heating element. However, this type of element will be a lot harder to damage or burn out later on.

I received my new waffle iron yesterday and made waffles for breakfast today. I seasoned as per instruction booklet. I had no problems with the waffles sticking at all. They turned out beautiful, golden brown, crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. My daughter, dogs, and I ate one before putting butter and syrup on! I used 3/4 cup like the instruction booklet recommends and it was a great amount. Make sure to put it on the iron center as possible so it doesn't leak out. Clean up was a breeze. I am also happy to say a quarter will fit in my toaster so reheating will be easy. I love the double flip to make two good sized waffles at the same time. The price is awesome. I am very happy with my purchase.

I've used this waffle iron twice, so can't speak to durability. But I made fat free sprouted wheat waffles on it and they didn't stick a bit. Came out crunchy outside and tender inside, evenly browned. Didn't have to oil the plates at all. I have also made grilled cheese on it. Evenly browned, nicely melted, and no butter or fat on the outside of the bread. It does get hot. That's good; it doesn't take all day to cook. It also does a great job on veggies. Griddle or waffle plates with sliced mushroom or bell peppers or what have you. They cook so quickly pressed between the plates. And bacon comes out evenly cooked and flat without spattering in 5-6 minutes. We use this almost every day, and we gave waffles only once a week. A great appliance.

Love it. I've been looking for a waffle iron that doesn't make Belgian Waffles - they never get crispy. These type waffle irons are hard to find. This makes perfect waffles. There is low, med, high and then a specific setting for waffles. You can turn the grids around and make paninnis, grilled cheese or even hamburgers. If you like Classic waffles more than Belgian, this waffle maker is for you. Nice teflon keeps the waffle from sticking.

I LOOOOVE that this waffle maker makes two waffles at the same time. Not having experience with other waffle makers (except for the flip ones in hotels) I cannot speak to the length of time that the waffles need to cook. But I think that would depend on the waffle batter you are using. I am using a keto waffle recipe made with a LOT of eggs. I am not a fan so I will be experimenting with a lot of different recipes until I find the perfect one to use for taste. I seasoned the waffle maker according to the manufacturer instructions and have not had to oil the plates again. I believe that maybe the recipes with butter or oil in them might be easier to release. I looooove that it takes up very little space in storage (much less than those tall flipping waffle irons in the hotels that only make one waffle each). I put some oil on a paper towel and wipe down the entire outside casing before I plug it in for preheating. I haven't had a problem with cleanup. ONE WARNING! This waffle iron has only a TWO FOOT electrical cord!!! I had to root around my container of extension cords to find one that is rated for at least 1200 watts. They are a "regular" extension cord which is extremely easy to find at retail. But I was not prepared for the short length of the cord and I am so glad I had an extension cord onhand. I am not worried about the safety of using an extension cord because the manufacturer suggested one be used if necessary. All-in-all, I think that it is a GREAT waffle maker for the money. I got the extra 2-year warranty so I feel pretty secure that I won't have any issues with it one way or the other.
