I recently purchased a Professional Manual Blood Pressure Cuff – Aneroid Sphygmomanometer with Durable Carrying Case by Paramed from Amazon. I am not a medical profession but someone with a serious problem with high blood pressure that I need to accurately monitor regularly. I found that the automatic blood pressure monitoring systems were not very accurate nor consistent over time. I have learned to take my own blood pressure several times a day and the Paramed cuff makes this task very easy and consistent! I find that the cuff is very functional and the included carry/storage bag convenient. I rate this product a 5 Star purchase and can recommend it without any reservation!

High Quality Cuff and Gauge--Stethoscope Not Included
I purchased this product to check/calibrate the automatic blood pressure device that I use regularly. I have not used it yet, as the device did not include a stethoscope. However, the device appears to be of very high quality, including a precision pressure gauge. I am looking forward to using it once I receive a stethoscope. UPDATE: I did receive a free stethoscope from Paramed as part of a promotion for the blood pressure cuff and gauge. Both products are very high quality, and together they provide accurate blood pressure readings.

Great Cuff
This is a follow up review of the manual blood pressure cuff, I have been a registered nurse for 27 years and in that time I have used many blood pressure cuffs as you can imagine. So far I really love the Paramed cuff, it is very easy to use, light weight, comes with its own carry pouch and a tiny key that allows you to adjust the dial to 0 for an accurate reading. I am truly happy with this purchase and highly recommend the Paramed cuff. If you are looking for a home blood pressure cuff this one cant be beat for price and reliability.

I received the basic Aneroid Blood Pressure Kit in two days as promised and expected. I rate the kit a “5” because the kit is easy to use and appears to fit children as well as most adults who might have larger arms than average individuals. Also, the instructions for use are clear and simple to follow. Moreover, the product appearance is excellent! The box was intact, the glass was unbroken, and the blood pressure cuff along with the carrying case are nice and professional looking. I feel really good about this purchase, and I certainly will refer this product to colleagues and peers. Finally, I plan to use the product in medical school as well as in my future medical career provided it stands the test of time which I am confident it will considering how well the kit is made.

I'm a student currently in a doctorate program for physical therapy. I bought this cuff for personal use, as well as to practice my skills. This blood pressure cuff seems to be of pretty good quality. I've used it quite a few times since I've had it the past few weeks. It comes with a nice little carrying case and the whole thing is pretty light weight. I would recommend it to anyone, especially for the price. I think I bought it on sale for around $15.If I had to make one critique, it would be that it doesn't have a mark on the cuff to show where to line it up with the brachial artery, but if you've taken blood pressures before you can figure it out. Otherwise, I give it 5 stars.

Low Cost Accuracy
I received this cuff the same day and was thoroughly impressed with the quality, especially for the price I paid. I had ordered it and a dual tube stethoscope because my old automatic cuff had become wildly inaccurate. When using this new cuff my BP readings came much closer to being in the controlled range. When I was using the automatic cuff they were out of range most of the time. I had a Doctor appointment the next day and took my new manual cuff in to see if it was close to the Doctors office calibrated cuff. I was extremely pleased to see that the diastolic reading was exactly the same as the Doctor's reading. The systolic readings agreed within 1 mm/hg. The cuff goes on my arm easily and the velcro holds it firmly in position. When pumped up to 200mm/hg it is comfortable around my arm and does not pinch me like the one it is replacing. The Doctor adjusted my BP medications and my BP is back to normal. I am fully confident that I am getting correct readings now which enables me to participate in maintaining my health by having normal blood pressure.

I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY ARE THINKING OR PERHAPS THEY ARE NOT EXPERIENCED MEDICAL PEOPLE. I DO KNOW THAT THIS IS A QUALITY ITEM THAT I WOULD USE AT ANY TIME. THE FACT THAT I CAN TAKE MY OWN BLOOD PRESSURE IS OUTSTANDING. I ORIGINALLY ORDERED IT BECAUSE MY HUSBAND HAS TO TAKE INTERMITTENT BLOOD PRESSURES PER HIS DOCTORS' INSTRUCTIONS BUT I'M QUITE IMPRESSED BY EASE WITH WHICH IT CAN BE USED BY ANYONE. I AM A REGISTERED NURSE AND HAVE WORKED IN THE EMERGENCY ROOM AND NOW WORK IN THE OPERATING ROOM. I THINK I WOULD KNOW A GOOD CUFF WHEN I SEE ONE! I DEFINITELY WOULD RATE THIS A 5 FOR EXCELLENCE.

Excellent Product, Great Quality, Amazing Gift for a Doctor to be.
I bought this item as a gift for my sister; she is a medical student and she needed some materials for her school practices. I must say I am extremely satisfied with the product. It came packed in a presentable manner which really speaks well of the company seeing the product as it indicates they pay attention to the process rom start to end which is when customer receives the product. The materials are all high quality and perform to optimal expectations. I must also say that the instructions are very clear on the care of the item which is important to get the best use of it. The carrying case is plus, this will make it easier to keep safe, clean and transport. All in all this was an excellent buy and my sister will be thrilled to use her new tool at her school training.

The Paramed Professional Manual Blood Pressure Cuff I ordered worked but was received in less than new quality. The box appeared to have already been opened and the bags holding the items appeared to have been opened and it appears that this unit had been used and possibly returned. The rubbber tubing near the connection to the gauge was crimped over in the box and when closely inspecting the rubber tubing, has left an indentation that has weakened the outside of the tubing making it vulnerable to breakage / leaks. This can easily be fixed by just snipping off this small imperfection, however,for a new unit this is not acceptable. I let the company know of the above deficiencies and they quickly sent another unit that was received and in perfect order. I notified them of the problem just as an FYI for quality control, and told them a new unit was not needed for such a minor deficiency,however they sent one. One could not ask for better customer service. Thank-you !!!!

All the new electronic blood pressure cuffs are convenient, but they're not always very accurate. I used to be a RN and wanted a "basics" blood pressure cuff (like the ones in the hospitals) to keep in my First Aid Home Kit. This one is a good choice: It's easy to use, looks quite sturdy, and the readings are accurate. It comes in its own little zippered storage bag, and the cuff can accommodate large arms. All you need is a stethoscope and you're good to go... :-)
